There are multiple ways to become a PR. Together we can find the most suitable for you.
Express Entry (EE)
A common misconception is that EE is a program. Express Entry is actually Canada’s case management system to process PR applications to programs such as FSWP, CEC, FSTP, and some PNPs.
Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW)
It is an EE program for high-skilled people. The main criteria for this program are work experience, education, and proficiency in English and/or French.
Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
An EE program great for foreign student graduates and workers in a skilled occupation who accumulated a year of full-time work experience with a good level of English and/or French.
Caregivers
A permanent resident pathway for caregivers - for qualified applicants under the Home Child Care Provider Pilot and Home Support Worker Pilot.
Federal Skilled Trades Program (FST)
It is an EE program for skilled people in trades who obtained a job offer in Canada or obtained Canadian certification in trades with an adequate level of English and/or French.
Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
Managed and provided by Canadian provincial governments. Each province has their own PR criteria for workers, students, self-employed, and business owners.
Family Class
PR and citizens alike can sponsor their spouse, dependent children, parents, and grandparents to become PR and join them in Canada. Adoptions also fall into this category.
Pilot Programs
Temporary programs that the government opens for qualified individuals. These programs aim to fill economic immigration needs of specific communities and areas all over Canada.
